As well as my Music related work, I have worked in environmental sustainability since completing an MSc Environment, Culture & Society at the University of Edinburgh in 2011. Following seven years’ experience in working in Social Responsibility & Sustainability at the University of Edinburgh, I currently have the great privilege of working at the intersection of arts and climate change with Creative Carbon Scotland supporting cultural organisations and artists with carbon management. In 2020, I began drawing together my musical and sustainability experience to develop Climate Friendly Culture.
Climate Friendly Culture is a project to develop tools for sustainable culture. I have been lucky enough to attract support from Creative Informatics as a Connected Innovator and subsequently as a Resident Entrepreneur, collaborating with Creative Carbon Scotland and InGenerator. The tools will help those working in culture to understand and measure the carbon footprint of their work and connect with others to make the most of the influential and adaptive capacity the creative community has for addressing the climate emergency.
For detailed information about Climate Friendly Culture, see the project website.
